Lorenzo Gilyard was a former supervisor at a trash company. he was known as the Kansas City Strangler. Most of his victims were prostitutes and were around the age of fifteen through the age of thirty six. his victims had a variety of problems in their life. some had family issues and even drug problems; and like some of them some were running away from home. he mostly committed his crimes around the same year or closely to the same year. Lorenzo Gilyard usually strangled his victims and then abandoned them at rare locations. most of his victims were still found with little APPAREl on them and were also found by other individuals. former police officers knew that gilyard had killed many women but they still didn't have enough proof to plead him guilty. though, many years passed and the case that happened in year 1987 found evidence of a DNA blood sample that became a centerpiece in 2004. investigations were being continued; at last in 2004 lorenzo gilyard was arrested and was pleaded guilty. With other cases it showed to prove that DNA sample can be a helpful important evidence to the law enforcement. during the 21st century, technology started to develop better. which in this case helped many cases to be solved.
